Go to the Asus website and download the latest audio drivers for your motherboard and save them to a temp file. Then go into the device manager and remove the current drivers and restart your system.

Then install the new audio drivers from your temp directory you saved the new driver to. Restart then go into your audio devices and configure the output to what you want.

Most all motherboards that now support win 8, have had BIOS updates for the kernel of win 8. Only the newest one’s out are set to support win 8, but they had Assu made for it. Your system has no Manuaal updates at all. There is a utility that will check your CPU to see if win 8 will run on the system, but you need have the OS working, like win 7.
Read this page, and try and run this utility. It would be best for you to reinstall win 7 and run it.
