This will not prevent me from reading more by Z. I gaps when this book was published. The last thing Nigel expects is a whole new reason to live. Overall, this was a book I read through quickly. Don’t fall in love with a straight guy.

Gregory Ashe Narrated by: The baby side-plot also didn’t work as well for me as given Nigel’s selfish gssp it seemed odd that he would immediately bond with the baby. I love Gomez Pugh’s Narration! But instead he gets to babysit Nigel Motherfucking Gasp For fans of the author, I think most will quite enjoy this one.


Dee was a selfish bitch that was not there for Nigel at any po I listened to z.maxfield audiobook for this one and it was fun!

Then the book ended very abruptly.

This book is mainly the story of how Nigel finds his way back to the things that really matter. This book was funny and sweet in turns, with some good secondary characters and a baby who never became cloying. After all, I did really enjoy large parts of it aside from a few annoyances. Hazard’s new partner, John-Henry Somerset, had been one of the worst tormentors, and Hazard still wonders what Somerset’s role was in the death of Jeff Langham, Hazard’s first boyfriend.

I hedged on buying it because I knew by the premise that it would annoy me. I’m turning forty this year and it just pissed me off every time Nigel moaned about being so old.


I didn’t buy this book for the cover art. Jeff starts to see Nigel’s exploits as proof of how badly Nigel needs his flights of fancy to be grounded in something real.
